Careers at KYFRM

Design Technologist (Junior)

Full-time
Islamabad
Junior design–technologist to translate Figma systems into responsive, production-ready builds across WordPress, Shopify, and lightweight React/Next environments. The role focuses on structured implementation, reusable components, performance, and clean technical execution. Strong HTML/CSS fundamentals and working knowledge of JavaScript required. Curiosity, systems thinking, and strong artistic & aesthetic taste are essential.

KYFRM operates at the intersection of art, design, and technology. We build identity systems, editorial platforms, interactive websites, and cultural artifacts. Increasingly, our work requires someone who can move fluently between design and code.

This role exists to strengthen that bridge.

We are looking for a junior design–technologist who understands interface structure and is comfortable implementing it in production environments. The position sits between visual systems and technical execution. It requires care, curiosity, and discipline.

What you’ll be doing

  • Translate Figma systems into responsive WordPress, Elementor, or Shopify builds

  • Implement structured layouts using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript

  • Prototype in React or Next when needed

  • Assist in Supabase integrations and Vercel deployments

  • Help establish reusable components and maintain internal UI libraries

  • Improve performance, responsiveness, and accessibility

  • Lots of vibe coding.

You will collaborate closely with the design lead and studio directors. You will also work independently. Both matter.

Who you might be

You are:

  • Deeply familiar with HTML/CSS — you know the difference between flex and grid, margins and padding, rhythm and accident

  • Comfortable with JavaScript fundamentals — enough to build interactive UI without fear

  • Fluent in Figma — not just using tools, but understanding design systems

  • Curious about React and Next.js (not required to be expert, but genuinely interested)

  • Familiar with Git workflows

  • Collaborating with designers, creative technologists, and studio leads to make things that feel considered and intentional

  • Playing with emerging tools (Framer, Spline, animation libs) to elevate interface behavior

You don’t have to already know everything — you just have to want to know it, and to build with intention.

How we work
